Does it seem as though customer service is lacking in your day to day life? Personally, when I receive great service I am so appreciative and surprised that I forget that this is the way it should be any time someone provides a service. When it comes to the purchase of your home you should expect nothing less than an inspector who relates..who truly cares..someone that sincerely wants you to feel confident and pleased with the entire experience. Many home buyers get their references for home inspectors through their agent, and i believe that is a good thing. If I could give one recommendation I would tell the home buyer to ask a few simple questions about the inspector such as: " Do you like Joe home inspector?" "Will Joe home inspector spend as much time with us as needed?" and "Have you had any negative experiences with past clients related to Joe home inspector?" Many buying agents do not want the liability of referring a specific inspection company. Most likely, your agent isn't going to recommend someone with which they have had a negative experience, but what this does is force them to take another second to think about the character and professionalism of the ones they recommend and may help ensure that you have gotten the absolute best!
